They have their wings....

This blog has not been updated since the last update because we have been working day in and day out with the pups and trying our best to save their lives. It is with great saddness that we post this. Many tears have been shed and hearts broken. No one will ever know the amount of time (day and night) that has been spent working with the puppies. The puppies have all left us with empty hearts to go onto their home over the rainbow bridge. We worked with them feverously and around the clock adminstering medicine, etc. only to lose each of the six puppies one by one. Each puppy knew love as we cradled them and talked to them as their bodies gave up. So sad that their mother had to leave them early. There is no one like mother to take care of the babies. We do all we can but sometimes it just never seems to be enough. We know that we did all we could but still feel sad that we could not have saved each of them or even part of them. We know that we cannot save all of the dogs and puppies but we ask ourselves why could these precious ones not make it? This is the reason that H A R T Foundation stresses so much to get your dog spayed or neutered and also that each family makes sure that they don't allow their dogs to get in the highway. Please know that we did all that we could to save these precious lives. Thanks for all of the prayers and the concern for these precious ones.
We appreciate everyone's help in sharing their blog, info, etc.
If you have donations you were planning on bringing please feel free to bring them on so that we can save them for the next pups we take in. The items we need (aside from Milk) don't go old really, so we'll set it back for a future litter. If you don't want to bring them now that the pups have passed, please feel free to donate them to another rescue in honor of the 6 little sweethearts. The 6 babies would want the items used on other pups who need a second chance at life like they had.
Thank you again!

I did go back and add their names to their individual post. They had names the day I posted the update on how well they were doing, I just never had time to post it. I wanted everyone to know their names. :)

Update:

Puppies are all still doing fabulous!! All 6 are fat and very sassy! We hope to have their names posted on here later. Things are just so busy currently that we haven't had the chance to.
We took in 4 other bottle pups on Thursday (the 8th) because the momma dog to them was also ran over. It's such a sad situation for both litters, but we are glad we are able to help. It's a difficult, hard and time consuming task but we are doing our best to see to it that the pups are given the best chance at life. We will be setting up a blog for the 4 bottle pups soon. Stay tuned for more updates, pics, names, etc.

Thanks to any that have inquired about donating!
